Absolute collector's item: Original hexagonal telephone booth FeH R (1985) by Quante Wuppertal. For sale is a true rarity of German telecommunications history: an original hexagonal telephone booth of the type FeH R (telephone booth for wheelchair users). This model was introduced in the 1980s by the German Federal Post Office in very limited numbers for train stations and hospitals. Today, almost all remaining examples are in museum collections. Highlights & Details: Model: FeH R (Hexagonal, barrier-free design with a large interior) Manufacturer: Quante Fernmeldetechnik, 5600 Wuppertal 1 Year of manufacture/approval: October 1985 (BP 10-85) Serial number: 00334 (Proof of the extremely small production run) Condition: The original type plate is perfectly preserved and undamaged (see photo). The exterior of the booth has been painted green, but the original post office yellow paint is still visible in some places. The substance provides an excellent basis for a restoration back to its original condition.
