Hillebrand 7630-132 Desk Lamp – Rare Opal Shade – Limited Production Period
Original vintage Hillebrand desk lamp, model number 7630-132, with an opal white plastic shade.
This model was produced for only a very short period in the 1970s. Consequently, only a few examples of this version exist. The variant with the opal white plastic shade is particularly rare.
Over the decades, the plastic shades of many comparable lamps have dried out, yellowed, or cracked due to the heat from conventional light bulbs. As a result, very few well-preserved examples can be found on the market today.
The lamp offered here is in exceptionally beautiful and original condition – the shade is intact, uniformly opal white, and free of cracks. Preservation in this quality is extremely rare.
The lamp bears the original nameplate with the unique model number 7630-132, confirming its authenticity. Chrome-plated gooseneck, solid metal base, and original switch included.

Original vintage desk lamp by Hillebrand, model number 7630-132, featuring an opaline white plastic shade.
This model was produced during a very short production period in the 1970s. As a result, only a small number of these lamps were manufactured. The version with the opaline plastic shade is particularly rare.
In many comparable examples, the plastic shades have deteriorated over time due to the heat generated by traditional incandescent bulbs, often leading to dryness, discoloration, or cracking. Consequently, well-preserved examples are increasingly difficult to find today.
The present lamp remains in exceptionally fine and original condition. The shade is intact, evenly opaline white, and free from cracks. Examples preserved in this quality are highly uncommon.
The lamp retains its original manufacturer’s label with the distinct model number 7630-132, confirming authenticity. It features a chrome gooseneck stem, a solid metal base, and the original switch.
