The Vitra DCM (Dining Chair Metal) is a series of chairs in which the Eames combined a characteristic seat and backrest made of molded plywood—a completely innovative material for furniture production at the time—with a variety of bases. The DCM has a simple tubular steel base, and this mix of materials creates an interesting and very pleasant contrast.
