A vibrant screen print of Herman Brood, done in bright magenta and black with a contrasting yellow silhouette. Published by Coach Art in 1998, numbered E.A. 3/25 (Épreuve d'Artiste) and hand-signed.
The Épreuve d'Artiste designation emphasizes its special status: artist's proofs were reserved for the artist and his immediate circle, and rarely come to market. This copy bears the original Coach Art label verso and is accompanied by a certificate from the Brood management, making the provenance close and verifiable.
With Pink Palm Indian, Brood shows the energy of his imagery in pure form: raw, graphic and colorful. The work captures the vitality of the artist who was not only a painter, but also a musician and cult figure.
