Splendid original Persian Heriz rug, knotted entirely by hand with high-quality wool on a cotton weft. This piece stands out for its iconic and prominent geometric central medallion on a brick-red field, enhanced by contrasting white/cream corners and an elegant and robust dark decorated border.
Being an authentic hand-woven piece, the rug features the characteristic and fascinating geometric irregularities typical of nomadic and village handicrafts (slightly asymmetrical in its external dimensions).
