Henryk Albin Tomaszewski Artist: Henryk Albin Tomaszewski (Poland, 1906–1993) sculpture from the series 'Zima' winter, 1970–1989. glass . 43 x 12 cm. Perfect condition, no dents or breaks. Henryk Albin Tomaszewski (born March 1, 1906 in Siedice, died July 19, 1993 in Warsaw - Polish sculptor specializing in art glass. Biography. In the years 1926-1930 he studied at the Warsaw Municipal School of Decorative Arts and Painting, in the years 1930-1936 he studied under the supervision of prof. Tadeus Breyer and prof. Tadeus Pruszkowski at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. In 1946 he moved to Szklarska Poreba, where until 1950 he worked and created in the local glassworks "Józefina". Since 1950 he has been creating as an independent artist. In the years 1950-1952 he taught at the Glass Design Studio of the state school of fine arts in Wrocław. After 1963, he settled permanently in Warsaw, creating his glass sculptures, including: in glass factories in Targowek, Wolomin, Falenica and Ozarow. He held several solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Henryk Albin Tomaszewski's glass sculptures are found in museums and private collections in Poland and around the world.
