This Helion Arnstadt wall lamp is a characteristic example of 1950s industrial design. The design is characterized by the functional scissor mechanism, allowing the lamp to be positioned flexibly in the room. The lamp is made of metal and finished in black. The scissor mechanism provides an adjustable reach (max. 120 cm), making the lamp particularly practical for focused lighting. The shade (diameter 24 cm) features the original markings, confirming the authenticity of this piece from the mid-twentieth century. The lamp is in good condition, with signs of use consistent with its age and industrial past. The original finish and patina contribute to the authentic character of the object. The shade has a few scratches and the scissor arm shows some superficial rust in places. The lamp has deliberately not been restored or repainted in order to preserve its original condition. Features include the original Helion Arnstadt marking, a large scissor/accordion arm, a large black metal reflector, Bakelite parts, an original toggle switch at the lamp, and an E27 socket. With (new) cord dimmer.
