On offer: Large Hayno Focken (*1905, Lahr / Black Forest) brass watering can or cactus jug In very fine condition with clear patina, especially below the spout and probably repaired once, otherwise in great original condition and with the circular ornamentation typical of Focken - almost like air bubbles Dimensions // ~ H 20 cm x Ø 20 cm "His works always show that Hayno Focken was a student at Burg Giebichenstein in Halle. A comparison with the works of his teacher Karl Müller reveals a similar preference for large organic forms, a similar way of designing the surface of the brass utensils and the same adherence to the principle of craftsmanship. Focken even based his artist's signet on the model of the square, simple castle mark.
