This Super cool Cobra table lamp, designed by Harvey Guzzini and manufactured by Guzzini in Italy around 1960. The piece is made of plexiglass, a material that is iconic to Guzzini's style and perfectly represents the Italian mid-century. The chromed metal arm that separates the base and shade is a fantastic addition that gives the piece a particularly modern touch. When the lamp is lit, the white plastic diffuses the light beautifully, adding to the unique appeal of this lamp. The lamp is in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
Works with a standard E14 lamp. European plug.

Guzzini illuminazione was founded in June 1958 by Raimondo Guzzini (born 1928) under the name Harvey. Harvey is derived from the famous 1950 film 'Harvey' with James Stuart and the invisible rabbit Harvey.
The initial production of enameled copper objects was supplemented with decorative fixtures.
In the early 1960s it became a family business when his 5 brothers joined the company.
In 1962, Luigi Massoni was brought in to lead the design team. He worked for Fratelli Guzzini and Harvey Guzzini until 1976. Luigi Massoni designed many iconic lamps during that period.
The company still exists and changed its name to iGuzzini in 1974 and to iGuzzini illuminazione in 1981.
