Solid tropical hardwood stool table (probably acacia) featuring a thick square top, hand-shaped curved legs, visible joinery, and a warm natural reddish-brown wood finish. One available. This vintage low stool has a simple architectural form with strong curved legs and a square planked top. The natural grain, unfilled knots, variations in tone, visible joints, and small finish nails attest to its honest handmade character. The reddish honey-brown tones of the wood (teak/mahogany like in tone) vary naturally across the surface. The design is often described as an “opium table” or low Asian stool associated with traditional low seating. Use it as a low side table, plant stand, meditation stool, bedside accent, or pedestal for books and objects.
