For sale is a beautiful lidded box/bonbonnière/lidded box by Hans Przyrembel, Leipzig, circa 1930. Elegant construction in brass, partly copper, with a hoop-shaped base and lid with knob, hammered finish, partially patinated, and stamped on the underside with the monogram "HP" and "Handarbeit" (handmade). Dimensions: diameter approx. 15 cm, height approx. 14 cm.
Hans Przyrembel (1900-1945) was a German metal artist, goldsmith, and silversmith. He collaborated with many Bauhaus artists, including Marianne Brandt and Alfred Lipovec.
The box is in age-appropriate condition with signs of age and use (scratches, abrasions, some light residue, oxidation, and a few minor deformations). Please also refer to the photos for the condition; they are part of the item description.
