For sale is a beautiful lidded box/bonbonnière/lidded box. It was designed by Hans Przyrembel around 1930 and later produced by the Brandt-Lipovec workshop. Elegant brass construction with a hoop-shaped base and lid with knob, hammered finish, partially patinated, and stamped on the underside with the monogram "HP" "B" and "Handarbeit" (handmade). Dimensions: diameter approx. 16.5 cm, height approx. 15 cm.
Hans Przyrembel (1900-1945) was a German metal artist, goldsmith, and silversmith. He collaborated with many Bauhaus artists, including Marianne Brandt and Alfred Lipovec.
The box is in age-appropriate condition with signs of age and use (scratches, abrasions, some light residue, oxidation, occasional minimal deformations, and slight play in the knob's mounting). Please also refer to the photos for the condition. These are part of the item description.
