For sale is a beautiful bowl/footed bowl/centerpiece. It was designed by Hans Przyrembel around 1930 and later produced in the Brandt-Lipovec workshop. The brass construction features a hoop-shaped base, is partially patinated, hammered, and decorated with a hammered finish. The underside is stamped with the monogram "HP," "BL," and "Handarbeit" (handmade). Dimensions: approximately 15.5 cm in diameter, approximately 9 cm high.
Hans Przyrembel (1900-1945) was a German metal artist, goldsmith, and silversmith. From 1924 to 1928, he studied at the Bauhaus in Dessau, including in the class of László Moholy-Nagy and in collaboration with Marianne Brandt. Przyrembel eventually took over Wolfgang Tümpel's workshop and subsequently ran his own workshop in Leipzig. He later collaborated with many Bauhaus members, including Marianne Brandt and Alfred Lipovec.
