Product description
Iconic CH25 lounge chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950. The CH25 is one of the first designs Wegner created specifically for Carl Hansen & Søn and has remained in continuous production ever since. The design combines a sculptural solid wood frame with a characteristic seat and backrest fully woven with papercord. This particular example is executed in black oak with black papercord, giving the organic lines of the design a particularly graphic and understated character. The armchair is in exceptionally good condition, with little to no visible signs of use. Both the wooden frame and the weaving are very well cared for, and the chair is structurally completely sound. The chair is marked and bears serial number 209066. A timeless design by Hans J. Wegner and a particularly beautiful piece for both modern and classic interiors. Dimensions are as follows: Height 73 cm, width 71 cm, depth 73 cm. Seat height 35 cm. Carefully selected design. Professionally restored where necessary, with respect for the original design, craftsmanship, and materials used.
