Large hand-turned studio ceramic vase by the Dutch ceramist Hans de Jong, crafted in heavy stoneware with expressive abstract decoration in earth tones, dark brown, and grey-green glaze surfaces. The design, glaze treatment, and impressed monogram mark fit well within Hans de Jong's oeuvre from the 1960s/70s.
The vase has a powerful sculptural presence and changes visually from every angle. A beautiful and characterful example of Dutch studio ceramics from the second half of the 20th century.
