Product description
This handcrafted, sculptural ceramic wall piece from the 1980s is a striking example of abstract artist ceramics. The object captivates with its organic forms and the deep brown, metallic-looking glaze, which lends the piece a unique depth.
The ceramic construction features a relief-like structure with a central, woven or layered section framed by two smooth, undulating surfaces. The back is signed and dated 1983, underscoring its authenticity and handcrafted origin. An integrated wire hanger allows for direct wall mounting.
The artwork is in very good condition and has an intact surface. There is a chip and a stress crack on the back, a result of the manufacturing process. These are completely invisible from the front.
This wall sculpture integrates beautifully into interiors in the Brutalist or Organic Modern styles. It makes a strong material statement on the wall and harmonizes particularly well with natural materials such as wood and stone.
