Handmade Berber Kilim rug 100x60 cm in wool with ethnic camel motifs
A genuine handmade carpet, this so-called "Kilim" rug is made from pure, hand-woven sheep's wool, which is pleasant and soft to the touch. It is a product of Moroccan Berber craftsmanship and boasts an ethnic look typical of this Maghreb people, blending a geometric and ethnic camel and bird motif design, typical of the 50s.
Manufactured using the flat-woven technique, it has a non-velvety appearance, revealing all the natural beauty of the wool, with symbolism linked to local folklore and nature: the camel representing survival in arid environments, robustness in the face of desert heat, and the birds symbolizing freedom and protection.
What's interesting about this rug is its color palette, which remains in tune with today's tastes. Its sober color palette is adaptable to both modern and vintage bohemian and eclectic environments, with its beige and cream tones, enhanced by discreet shades of black, purple and pink, all held together by its ecru background!
