Made in Vierzon by the C.C. manufactory, this fine porcelain handled dish testifies to the expertise of the workshops of the Centre region, which, in the mid-20th century, rivaled the great Limoges houses. The porcelain body is of a luminous whiteness, the scalloped edge enhanced with a gold trim and a delicate band of golden volutes that runs along the entire periphery. In the center, a hand-painted bouquet of chrysanthemums unfurls its corollas in a generous palette: sun yellow, carmine pink, periwinkle blue, and silvery grey blend with a freedom of touch reminiscent of Belle Époque decorations. Each flower is rendered with botanical precision, the tapered leaves enlivening the composition with a natural movement. Placed on a sideboard or hung as a wall decoration, this dish brings to an interior the warmth of a bourgeois table of yesteryear. Diameter approximately 26 cm. C.C.
