An astonishing and utterly unique piece, crafted from a plate transformed through genuine decorative work. The entire surface has been composed by hand by assembling numerous small cut-out elements, featuring marbled patterns and shades of olive green, brown, yellow, and black. Their arrangement forms a very dense, almost hypnotic abstract design, where each fragment contributes to the overall movement of the piece. The entire piece was then completely varnished, creating the shiny and deep surface seen in the photographs. The varnish covers and fixes the various elements to the base, giving the composition its finished and durable appearance. The work doesn't stop at the visible side, as the reverse has also been entirely decorated and varnished. This attention to the entire object gives it the character of a true artisanal creation, made as a unique piece. Its author is unknown to us, but the object possesses a personality strong enough to do without a signature. With its very free design and characteristic palette, it readily evokes the decorative experiments of the 1960s-1970s. Approximately 25 cm in diameter. A piece made to be admired, displayed on a piece of furniture or presented on a wall rather than to return to the Sunday dinner service.
