Hand-thrown stoneware always bears the mark of its creation. The horizontal striations left by the potter's fingers run across the body, subtle, almost imperceptible, and give the surface that living texture that industrial pieces cannot reproduce. The sanded beige glaze, speckled with brown dots, covers the whole in a warm, matte tone. It lightens towards the neck, where the firing process affected the glaze differently. The interior features a smoother, slightly cream-colored glaze. The form is straightforward. A cylindrical body slightly flared towards the base, a constricted neck whose rim is pinched to form the spout, an applied handle with a round cross-section. Nothing superfluous. The silhouette is sustained by its proportions alone. Height 13 cm, internal neck diameter approximately 7 cm. A workshop piece from the 1960s-1980s, in the tradition of post-war French utilitarian ceramics. Some traces of use attest to its history. The photographs allow for a precise appreciation of its condition.
