Heavy and expressive hand-carved statue of an elderly man with a pipe, made of solid serpentine stone. The sculpture combines highly polished and rough surfaces, typical of Shona art from Zimbabwe. The work symbolizes wisdom and life experience—a common theme within this art tradition.
The statue is entirely handcrafted, has a beautiful natural patina, and a protective felt base. Both decoratively and artistically, it is a striking piece with character.
