This unique Fazzoletto pendant lamp (Italian for "handkerchief") from the 1970s/1980s is a hand-blown design by the German firm Peill & Putzler. The company, formed from the merger of Glashüttenwerk Peill und Sohn and Putzler, was known for its craftsmanship in glass and lighting and remained active until 2004.
Peill & Putzler collaborated with leading designers such as Wilhelm Wagenfeld and Aloys Ferdinand Gangkofner and also produced glassware for brands such as Raak (Netherlands) and Massive (Belgium).
The lamp is in excellent vintage condition. Only a small scratch is visible on the brass socket; otherwise, the lamp is remarkably well-preserved. The electrical cord has recently been replaced.
