A decorative vintage aiguière (handled vase) from the Belgian ceramics manufacturer H. Béquet in Quaregnon. This model bears the form number 683 and likely dates from the 1950s or 1960s. The elegantly curved ceramic body is decorated with expressive, hand-painted polychrome floral motifs. The wide, black neck with gold ornaments and the tall, sculpturally curved handle give the piece its particularly decorative silhouette. Accents of gold leaf are also found on the base and within the floral decoration. The underside bears the maker's mark of H. Béquet, Quaregnon, Belgium, as well as the model number 683. A fragment of the original paper label is also preserved. Good vintage condition with age-related wear and minor irregularities and some wear to the gilding. Please refer to the detailed photographs for further information. Material: Faience/ceramic, hand-painted and gilded. The gilding shows some age-related wear, slight discoloration, and irregularities. A characteristic Belgian collector's and decorative object from the mid-20th century.
