Superb poster by Guillaume Corneille (1922-2010), Liège-born painter of Dutch parents, founding member of the COBRA group, with Constant, Karel Appel, Dotremont, Joseph Noiret and Asger Jorn, reproducing the 1982 Nu Jaune.
This poster has often been shown on television and reproduced in books.
A summer poster of a female nude on the beach with a bird. A great master of color, in the wake of Gauguin and Matisse, Guillaume Corneille devoted a major part of his creative output to posters, and after making his mark on post-war abstraction, embarked on a free, jovial figuration coordinated with the Pop-Art movement.
