This fully upholstered dining chair strongly references the inspiration behind the design duo Gam-Fratesi: the insect world, more specifically the world of beetles. Not only does the name reflect the inspiration, but the characteristic elements of the beetles' sections have also been interpreted—the shape, shells, stitching, stiff exterior, and soft interior.
The wide range of upholstery options and various bases allow you to personalize your Beetle Dining Chair and create a unique piece that fits perfectly in your home.

The renowned Beetle chair is a unique result of the collaboration between an Italian and a Danish designer: the Gamfratesi design duo. Gamfratesi, consisting of Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi, drew inspiration for the renowned Beetle collection from the insect world. They researched the anatomy of insects, including the beetle, and based the design for the iconic Beetle chair on this.
This gives the chair an organic shape with a sturdy, hard shell (armored) and thin legs for an airy effect. Gamfratesi's designs always feature traditional design with surprising modern elements. The Beetle chair is no exception. The dining chair has an elegant appearance and is also very comfortable, with a backrest that moves smoothly. A designer chair that easily fits into any interior. The Beetle chair combines effortlessly with modern and classic wooden dining tables, steel tables, or glass dining tables.
The Beetle chair was introduced in 2012 and has been a huge hit in homes ever since, and is also very popular in restaurants and hotels. The Beetle chair comes in many different versions: for the base, you can choose from thin, conical steel legs (in matte black, chrome-black, chrome, brass, and antique brass), wooden legs, stackable legs, or a swivel base.
The chair's shell is made of sturdy polypropylene and comes in a variety of beautiful colors and materials. The chair can also be upholstered in a variety of fabrics and leathers from various manufacturers (including Gubi).
