"Growing Between Shadow and Light"
This diptych is made from recycled moving boxes and depicts growth as a cyclical and imperfect process.
The cardboard bears traces of a previous life—wear, creases, scars, and pressure marks—and thus reflects how both nature and humanity are shaped by time, movement, and experience.
The organic forms are reminiscent of plants slowly stretching out between shadow and light, in search of balance, space, and direction. In the rhythm of repetition, a sense of breathing emerges: holding on and letting go, growing and falling back, starting over.
The work does not seek perfection. Beauty arises precisely in vulnerability, imperfection, and the visible traces of change. Just as growth, both physical and emotional, is often accompanied by falling and getting back up, these works also visibly carry their scars.
