The vase is undamaged except for a microscopic chip. This is a result of the manufacturing process, as there are other bubbles within the glass in the surrounding area. At this particular spot, the bubble was directly on the surface and opened. It is barely visible to the naked eye – see the photo for size comparison with a pen.
