Product description
This vase comes from the Royal Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland in Gouda. They produced pottery between 1898 and 1965. Three specific characteristics of this Gouds Plateel vase can be noted:
1. Floral depictions.
2. Expressive use of color based on intense blue and beige/ochre tones against a black background.
3. Relatively robust lines.
This beautiful Gouds Plateel vase, numbered 108, is a magnificent example of Art Deco ceramics. The vase is hand-painted and features a vibrant floral motif in rich blue and brown tones, framed by an elegant black base.
