This is a striking porcelain figurine of the legendary Barcelos rooster, produced by the renowned German manufacturer Goebel in 1968. The design uniquely combines Portuguese folklore, where the rooster symbolizes faith and happiness, with the refined craftsmanship for which Goebel is known. The figurine is made of high-quality porcelain and has a deep cobalt blue base. It is richly decorated with hand-painted motifs, including orange hearts, stylized green and white flowers, and a bright red comb. On the underside, the piece is marked with "Gra 194", the incised year "1968", and the characteristic blue Goebel stamp from that period. The object is in good condition, retaining its glossy enamel and bright colors. The natural crazing on the underside confirms the authenticity and age of this vintage Goebel ceramic.
