A night sky with spiral nebulae – that could be the name of this block glass vase. Pavel Hlava designed it in the 1960s for Exbor Egermann (1964). The silver chloride inclusions form a galactic nebula on the dark blue glass, framed by warm orange glass reminiscent of sunbeams. A beautiful glass object with a six-sided shape, made of heavy, hand-cut, and highly polished art glass – a Czech masterpiece! The design was awarded a gold medal at the Leipzig Trade Fair in 1967 and was among the best products of the year. The dimensions are approximately 17 cm wide x 7 cm deep x 14.4 cm high. It weighs over 2 kg. Very good condition – only minimal marks are visible on the base (see photos).
