Product description
This all-glass table lamp was produced in the 1970s by OPP Jihlava and designed by Štěpán Tabera, a noted figure of Czechoslovak glass lighting. The piece features a sculptural mushroom-like silhouette, composed of an opaline cream glass shade resting on a deep red laminated-glass base.
The contrasting colours and smooth rounded geometry embody the period’s interest in warm, atmospheric lighting and bold material expression. The lamp is preserved in undamaged vintage condition, with clear surfaces and stable construction.
With its soft diffused light and distinctive proportions, this model stands as one of the characteristic examples of 1970s Czechoslovak glass design and functions as both a lighting element and a sculptural object.
