Product description
Swivel and height-adjustable office chair on a four-legged base of sheet steel with rubber caps (version P). Made by the Dutch company Gispen.
This rare version of the Gispen 359 P was designed in the 1950s by designer Christoffel Hoffmann. Hoffmann was appointed by Gispen in the 1950s to research the American chair market; the chair's steel frame was inspired by American office chairs.
The base of the chair consists of metal and fabric-covered wooden panels. The height of the chair is adjustable as is the angle of the backrest.
The one we have in the collection is in nice condition: we have cleaned the metal parts and greased them where necessary. We have replaced the padding and upholstery with a high-quality and strong black rib fabric, also called Manchester fabric.
The chair can be used immediately.
