Beautiful complete set of 2 iconic Gispen 412 armchairs with matching footstool, based on the original design by W.H. Gispen. The armchairs are manufactured by Gebroeders van der Stroom / Dutch Originals and feature the original labels. A true Dutch design classic, recognizable by its elegant chrome tubular frame, characteristic black armrests, and generous, comfortable seat. This version is upholstered in a stylish dark Manchester corduroy fabric that varies from deep dark to anthracite depending on the lighting. The set is in good used condition. The chrome is very neat and the chairs are structurally sound. The upholstery has recently been carefully cleaned. The corduroy fabric shows some localized discoloration and signs of wear consistent with age and use. This is also visible in the photos. The original Dutch Originals / Gebroeders van der Stroom labels are present. The current retail price of a Gispen 412 starts at approximately €2,775 per armchair.
