The Gispen 405 was designed by W.H. Gispen in 1933 and is a true Dutch design classic. It features a high-gloss chrome tubular frame, black Bakelite armrests, and dark Manchester/ribbed fabric. Original Dutch Originals / Gebroeders van der Stroom labels are present.
The set is in good used condition. The chrome is very neat and the chairs are structurally sound. The upholstery has recently been carefully cleaned. The ribbed fabric shows some local discoloration and signs of wear, as visible in the photos.
The current new price of the Gispen 412 starts at €1,995 per armchair. A comparable set of two armchairs and a footstool therefore has a new value of over €4,700.
