Round dining table by Gerard Geytenbeek for AZS – Netherlands, 1960s A beautiful example of Dutch design from the sixties. This round dining table, designed by Gerard Geytenbeek for AZS, combines a powerful, minimalist design with a warm appearance and high-quality materials. It is not without reason that this iconic design is frequently – and incorrectly – attributed to Martin Visser for 't Spectrum. With a generous diameter of 150 cm, the table comfortably seats six people and forms the natural centerpiece of any dining room. The characteristic three-legged base gives the table a light, elegant look, while the solid wenge veneer ensures a rich grain and timeless appearance. Thanks to its understated design, this table combines effortlessly with both vintage design classics and contemporary furniture. Think of chairs by Pastoe, Artifort, or Cassina, but this table also comes into its own in a modern or Japandi interior. The table is in good vintage condition befitting its age. The tabletop has a few light scratches, and normal signs of use are visible along the edge. The black lacquered legs have developed a beautiful patina over the years. If desired, these can easily be restored to a completely deep black finish, but we believe that the current appearance actually contributes to the authentic character of the furniture.
