Item: 1950s Desk Description: Solid blockboard body with teak veneer; 5 fully extendable drawers, the middle one lockable; solid, detachable, tapered legs, black spray-painted; high-quality glides with damping rubber inserts Manufacturer: WK Möbel, Germany Designer: Georg Satink, Germany Material: Teak / Linoleum (traditional laminate made with natural linseed oil) Color: Deep black / natural teak (dark brown with a beautiful reddish tint and natural color variations) Important! The photos are overexposed to show the pristine condition in detail! Reddish tones become redder, and colors in general appear lighter. The shadowed areas, or those not directly illuminated by the photographic light, best represent the true colors. Dimensions: W: 125.5 cm; D: 68 cm; H: 78 cm Condition: Once again, we have achieved a result that is hard to beat! The table is in outstanding condition. It has, if any, only the slightest signs of wear. The usual nicks and scratches are nowhere to be found. Even the table legs are like new. Simply unique! It should be noted that this was not a cheap, amateurish paint job with a brush or roller and hardware store materials, but rather a sophisticated professional spray coating using traditional materials, such as those used in the 1960s and 70s. This results in a silky-glossy surface where the grain is clearly visible and remains pleasantly tactile. ... Information about the finish... Please bear in mind that other suppliers' euphemisms, such as "newly painted," are by no means synonymous with "spray-painted." In most cases, this means the typical "painting over" technique with a brush and roller, resulting in unsightly characteristics like clearly visible brushstrokes and the familiar "orange peel" effect. You can see this immediately if you view the furniture surfaces from the side against the light. If in doubt, ask specific questions about the type of finish applied, or better yet, request photos of the "newly painted" surfaces taken against the light.
