Tang horses, these proud steeds of imperial China, have inspired generations of ceramists far beyond the borders of the Middle Kingdom. This enameled ceramic figurine is a beautiful interpretation from the mid-20th century, captured in the momentum of a full gallop, all four limbs extended, mane and tail flowing backward in a movement of great vitality. The deep black enamel, almost lacquered, covers the horse's body, contrasted by the ivory cream mane and tail. The finely molded saddle is enhanced with saffron yellow and bottle green, giving the piece a richly chromatic palette. The rectangular base, simple and stable, allows the animal's movement to take center stage. Dimensions are approximately 14 cm long by 10 cm high. The condition is very satisfactory, with slight enamel wear on one hoof, which does not affect the overall appearance of the piece. Placed on a desk, a console table, or a shelf, this horse brings a rare energy and a touch of elegant orientalism to any interior.
