Chaise longue designed in 1938 by the Italian painter, graphic artist, and architect Gabriele Mucchi.
Gabriele Mucchi fought as a partisan in the anti-fascist Garibaldi Brigade during World War II. After the war, he lived for many years in East Berlin, where he worked as a professor at the Berlin Weissensee Art Academy.
The artist is considered a co-founder of "New Realism" (Nuovo Realismo), whose works are exhibited in numerous prestigious museums.
