Product description
This three-drawer tallboy is from the Fresco range by G Plan, one of Britain's leading mid-century furniture manufacturers, dating from the 1960s. The piece is built in teak with dovetailed drawer construction and features the sculpted, recessed handles characteristic of G Plan's design language of the period. The current hairpin legs are a later addition, replacing the original skirt-style legs, giving the piece a leaner, more contemporary stance while retaining its vintage teak case. With three generous drawers, it suits a bedroom as a chest of drawers or a living room as a low storage and display piece.
Condition and Character
Original condition with signs of use consistent with decades of ownership. The teak veneer surfaces, particularly the top, show light scratching from general handling and use over the years. The dovetail joinery and drawer runners remain sound and fully functional. The legs are not original to the piece, having been replaced with the current hairpin style; the original design came with skirt legs.
