FSM Shelby Recliner — Georg Appeltshauser — Petrol Nappa Leather Particularly elegant Shelby recliner (FM-111), designed by Georg Appeltshauser for the Swiss manufacturer FSM – Frank Sitzmöbel. The design combines a slender, architectural outer shell with an exceptionally soft and generously padded interior. FSM itself describes the concept as a combination of a hard shell with a soft core. This version is upholstered in beautiful petrol-colored Nappa leather. It is lightly pigmented Nappa leather with a thickness of approximately 1.2–1.4 mm. The deep petrol color changes subtly with the angle of light, beautifully showcasing the natural grain and character of the leather. Furthermore, the Shelby is a full-fledged recliner. The chair rotates 360°, has a tilt function of up to approximately 17°, and features a cleverly integrated, extendable leg rest. When closed, the design remains particularly refined; When unfolded, a spacious reclining position is created. The four-star metal swivel base forms a beautiful technical contrast with the soft leather and emphasizes the high-quality, modern character of the design.
