An exceptionally comfortable Shelby recliner, designed by Georg Appeltshauser for the Swiss quality brand FSM – Frank Sitzmöbel.
The name Shelby is derived from the English word 'shell'. The armchair combines a slender, architectural outer shell with a generously upholstered and invitingly soft interior. It is precisely this contrast that gives the design its refined and recognizable character.
The armchair is finished in deep petrol-colored Nappa leather, visually matching FSM Select Petrol 24166. This high-quality, lightly pigmented leather retains its natural grain, pores, and characteristic creases. The rich blue-green color changes subtly with the angle of the light.
The Shelby is not only elegant but also technically very complete. The armchair can rotate 360 degrees and features a continuously adjustable headrest. The seat can be reclined up to approximately 17 degrees using the release lever. A slim, virtually invisible integrated leg rest can be fully extended and tilted forward, creating a spacious reclining position.
The armchair stands on a sculptural metal four-star base and is in very neat condition. Details
