On offer is a three-part, black-and-white photo series titled "Fryslân," or Friesland.
The images date from 2010 and 2011 and were taken by me during my second year at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam.
My initial goal was to "portray" Friesland. Weekends spent commuting between the west and the north ultimately yielded three minimalist, almost two-dimensional images. Each symbolizes the flatness and emptiness of one of Holland's most beautiful provinces.
The works measure 80x100cm (4x5" negatives) and are mounted on Dibond.
This series of photographs is unique; there are no copies of the images in circulation, neither large nor small.
