Product description
The characteristic bombé (outwardly curved) front and sides give it an elegant, flowing silhouette. It has a rich, reddish-brown polished wood finish with painted decorations: a central floral bouquet framed by scrolling motifs in gold tones. This piece of furniture features decorative gilt bronze (ormolu) fittings and handles, including ornate corner fittings, rosettes, and foot fittings. The green marble top has a molded edge that follows the curves of the chest of drawers. Ornate cabriole legs with gilt fittings at the feet. This is not an original 18th-century piece, but a 20th-century reproduction in the Louis XV Rococo Revival style, made in the Netherlands.
