Description : French contemporary ceramic lamp by Renzo Maar. Dimensions : . Material : ceramic (white stoneware) and oxydes, brass ; signed. Made of clay, this lamp-sculpture looks something like a cloud, a nest or a diver's helmet: in any case, it's a shape designed to make you dream about. It's at the crossroads of several sources of inspiration, like the ovoid shapes of space-age and atomic-age design from the 1960s and 1970s, from bubble houses to ceramics, from Eyeball lamps to egg-shaped furniture and items. This piece is available immediately but orders are also possible (please note that each piece is hand-made in France and unique, dimensions and finishes may vary). Renzo Maar is a young French-Italian artist and designer working with materials such as stoneware, plaster and metal. Passionate by the works of historical artists and designers like Alberto and Diego Giacometti, Jean Michel Frank, Serge Roche, Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé, Line Vautrin, Jean Royère and François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne, he combines minimalist shapes and pure colors to design mirrors, lamps and furniture.
