This pressed glass vase in a "candle wax" design, model no. 20245, was designed in 1974 by František Pečený for the Heřmanova Huť glassworks. The striking mid-century design is characterized by its textured surface, reminiscent of dripping wax, which creates a captivating interplay of light. The vase is made of transparent pressed glass and impresses with its detailed, relief-like texture. Measuring 18 cm in height and 7.5 cm in diameter, it features a classic cylindrical shape, which gains a special depth through its three-dimensional surface design. The design is a typical example of Czechoslovakian glass art of the 1970s. The vase is in very good condition, showing no visible damage, and the glass has retained its original luster. The textured surface is intact and demonstrates the high quality of glass production at that time. This piece would be a perfect fit for mid-century modern or Scandinavian-inspired interiors. It is ideal as a decorative element on a sideboard or as a stylish container for medium-sized flower arrangements.
