Franklin Mint Chess Set “Battle of Waterloo” The set was manufactured in 1984 and was officially licensed by the Waterloo museum as being authentic. The set consists of: The chess board The base box with storage compartments for the chess pieces The 32 detailed tin chess pieces on blue, respectively red enamelled bases with gold edge embellishment as well as The box with the accompanying paperwork (certificate, historical background, descriptions of the chess pieces and name tables, in Dutch).
