Captures the swan song of traditional fishing in Sanary-sur-Mer just before mass tourism transformed the French Riviera. Features iconic wooden fishing boats (Pointus), quay activity with horse and cart, and rich Mediterranean light in thick impasto. Authenticated: Officially evaluated & authenticated by an art historian affiliated with the University of Antwerp. Includes written proof and original gallery documentation. Details: Early career work (ca. 1950–1953). Oil on canvas. Signed lower right (F. Nicoli). Frame: Original gilded frame with linen insert (early 1970s). Excellent vintage condition.
