Superb and rare vintage wall-mounted totem mirror, made in the second half of the 20th century (1960s-1970s).
This vertical decorative panel is a direct descendant of the Neo-Byzantine creations of Vallauris, reminiscent of the iconic work of François Lembo and Mithé Espelt.
The piece presents a beautiful combination of textures and materials: a raw wood panel with rustic charm, enhanced by graphic lines and hand-painted scrolls imitating copper inlays.
Decoration: Beige terracotta (ceramic) pieces delicately engraved with regular striations, forming the mirror's frame and geometric motifs with ancient symbolism (triangular motifs and scrolls reminiscent of protective horns).
Six magnificent tinted cabochons (two intense turquoise teardrop-shaped and four deep royal blue discs at the four corners) that superbly capture the light.
Dimensions: 45 x 11.3 cm
Beautiful overall vintage condition, lovely patina. Impeccable central mirror.
Signature: Signed on the back with a stamped medallion bearing the artisan's monogram "AS"
A distinctive piece of fine craftsmanship, perfect for adding a unique Mid-Century or Bohemian Chic touch to your home.
