The work reinterprets the artist's face through the language of geometric Pop Art, with a brief inspiration from the WPAP (Wedha's Pop Art Portrait) style, known for constructing images through bold color fields and luminous geometric planes.
The portrait emerges from a composition of geometric shapes and intense color contrasts, where vibrant colors—deep blues, turquoises, pinks, oranges, and yellows—define the facial features without resorting to traditional shadows. Azzurra Lo Bello is a contemporary Italian artist working between figurative painting and pop-geometric language. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania (Painting and Graphic Design), she developed a recognizable personal style, characterized by faces constructed with clear color fields, warm/cold contrasts, and a strong graphic synthesis.
Her research combines figuration and abstraction, tradition and modernity, with a particular focus on the expressive power of the gaze and the energy of color. Her works reinterpret cultural icons and symbolic subjects through a contemporary sensibility, rendering them current and vibrant.
Azzurra Lo Bello is represented in galleries in Italy, and her works are sold worldwide for prices between €2,000 and €4,000.
Her artistic influences are inspired by the works of Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Magritte, Rauschenberg, Mondrian, Matisse, Dali, Picasso, Miró, Banksy, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, Basquiat, Dillon Boy, Mr. Brainwash, Falcó, and many others.
