Framed illustration under glass L.S. Lowry "Coming from the mill" 1930. Laurence Stephen Lowry 1887-1976 British painter known for his depictions of industrial North-West England in the 20th century, and his "matchstick men". Distinctive, somewhat naive pictorial style. Scene of workers leaving a spinning mill in Pendlebury. The original is an oil on canvas in the Lowry Museum, Salford. Double-effect wood frame: wood color and gilded for depth. 45.5 x 35.5 cm.
